Turn individual brilliance into collective intelligence

Fractional people development for AI safety organizations

The challenge

Suboptimal results. Many symptoms. One root cause.

Talent leaves
Research output drops
Mission impact slows
Co-leaders aren't aligned. Nobody's said it out loud.
Need to let someone go. Nobody here has done this before.
Can't fill a senior role. Not sure why.
Fundraisingstalls. Not sure what's blocking it.
Grew 5x. Org still runs like it did at five people.
Moving fast. In circles.
Executive Director managing peoplethey don't want to manage.
One person holding everything together. Running out of energy.
Frustrations accumulate silently until they erupt.
Deadlines slip. Nobody follows up.
No dedicated people leadership

The mission feels too urgent to pause. The org is too broken not to.

No bureaucratic HR. No fluff. No generic frameworks.

Only high-ROI interventions that catalyze your team's impact.

Working with Adam and the RAISEimpact team is always a boost of motivation and clarity. They quickly got to the most central and important bottlenecks of our organization, and surfaced mistakes that could have been critical. They supported us in getting through a funding crunch and helped us form our strategy for managing our team through that difficult situation. Their recommendations on HR and fundraising helped us with operational challenges and positioned ourselves to execute our Global Call for AI Red Lines campaign with greater impact. We highly recommend working with RAISEimpact.

How we work

01

Assess

We start by learning your specific situation. Not applying a framework — an assessment of your team: a health survey, conversations with each leader, a map of how decisions actually get made. The assessment produces a baseline. Numbers, not impressions.

02

Design

From there, we design interventions aimed at the specific gaps the data surfaced. At one organization, the gap was role clarity and delegation. At another, it was coaching two co-leaders through their first termination under French employment law. At a third, it was designing a strategic retreat that replaced a wasted day with a structured working session.

03

Build

We embed for three to six months. Biweekly meetings. Action items tracked. Deadlines held. One client asked us to shame them when deadlines slipped. We obliged. Their framing: “50–60% advice, feedback, pushing, templates — and 30% or more is the accountability.”

04

Measure

We measure before and after, at the category level, and we publish the caveats alongside the results.

Working with RAISEimpact gave us the space and structure to step back and think strategically about our long-term direction. They helped us clarify our vision and sharpen our theory of change, both through leadership workshops and in helping us design sessions at our team strategy retreat. This strategic thinking has helped us to refine our organisational direction for the coming years, and has been invaluable in major fundraising conversations. We'd highly recommend working with them.

Results

4.97.9

Team satisfaction in eight months. That exceeded the predefined target by 140%.

The three largest gains map to the three things we targeted: feedback systems, management transition, accountability protocol. The areas we didn't target showed the smallest movement.

We think most AI safety organizations would benefit from this work. We also think most won't reach out until the pain is acute. If you're somewhere between curious and drowning — that's a fine place to start a conversation.

Open to AI safety organizations with 5+ paid staff. Fully funded — no cost to participants.
